Luke 3:11 Apparel is founded on the Bible verse Luke 3:11, which says "John replied, 'If you have two shirts, give one to the poor; if you have food, share it with those who are hungry.'"

For every shirt that is purchased - one is given to someone in need; and a portion of each sale is donated to feed the hungry.

Back in February 2015, Ashley Fenton, the Founder of Luke 3:11 Apparel, had an idea to start a Christian apparel company. She was a working single mom looking for a way to stay at home with her then 2 year old son.

While driving home from work one day, she was day dreaming of starting this company as she often did. She had the idea to have a Bible verse on the tag of each shirt. As she was pondering this idea, the verse Luke 3:11 popped into her mind, but she had no idea what this verse was. She looked it up and read "John replied, 'If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.'"

She knew right at that moment that God was going to use her to birth a ministry. That this Christian apparel company was going to be much more than just a business, but that it was a calling God had on her life. Six and a half years later of building the brand, seeking the Lord and patiently waiting for His timing, here we are! Luke 3:11 Apparel is being birthed into the atmosphere to change lives and to help build God's Kingdom.

Our logo takes the shape of both a Fig & Water. Let me tell you why! In Luke 3:11, John the Baptist is replying to questions from the people who came to him to be baptized. He came to prepare the way for Jesus and was telling the people to repent and be baptized for the remission of their sins. He told them to bear fruit worthy of repentance, so they asked him what they needed to do. In Luke 3:11 John replied, “If you have two shirts, give one to the poor. If you have food, share it with those who are hungry.”

Here at Luke 3:11 Apparel, we desire to bear fruit [figs] worthy of repentance [water]. We want to walk in love with those around us by sharing the gospel, clothing the poor and feeding the hungry.
